What do you see in this picture. Nope it's not the random grocery bag on the floor. That black thing on the rug? Oh that's just a bat man cape. That's not it either. All that junk on the coffee table? Eh Uh! That's John's Bakugon collection along with my magazines and Will's sippy cup.
Give up??
I'll give you a hint.
Look right above Will's little knock knees. (Sorry Will...It's a Lea trait inherited from your Mama and your namesake, Uncle William)
That's Right, Ya'll!
Don't adjust your screen. Your eyes are working correctly.
Will is wearing Spider man underwear, Friends!
It's a happy happy day in the Workman house!

Sock Hop!!!!
Last night the PTO put on the last lighted school house event of the year. We had a sock hop. It was so much fun. We made popcorn and lemonade, decorated the gym, and had a dj. The kids learned dances in PE that prepared them for the fun. Some of the kids got into character by dressing in 50's clothes. We all had so much fun.
One of the highlights of the night was when Will looked up at me, grabbed my hand and said, "Come on, Mama. Let's go do the twist!"
Priceless!

The Whale Shark
Yesterday afternoon I asked Mae to read me a book. After much deliberation (she didn't want to read a baby book) we picked out a book about sharks. It explained the differences of many kinds of sharks. So much so that it confirmed my thoughts on entering the ocean. Anyway....I digress.... We came upon a shark named the whale shark. This fish swims through the ocean with his huge mouth open. He eats little fish and plants by filtering them through his open orifice.
Hmmmm.
Interesting.
I encountered a similar animal at the pool today. This cute, cuddly, interesting creature did just what this whale shark does. Although, I don't think his intention was to eat little creatures and plants. I'm not quite sure what his intentions were.
He, however, has a name.
It's Will Workman!
Let's just call him Whale Shark from now on.

When God Gives You Lemons
Here is Mae's little lemon tree and yes, that, my friends, is a lemon! We are so excited. A month or so ago it was filled with blooms. We had our fingers crossed for a lemon, but we didn't hold our breath. Last year it filled with blooms and nothing happened. This year it looks like one held on. So soon we'll have to make some lemonade!

What I Want to Be
I want to be a Paleontologist when I grow up. I want to dig up dinosaur bones in the dirt. I will dig them up carefully because they can break. It is like a puzzle. They screw them in carefully because the screws can get loose. People come and see the creations that the Paleontologist built.

*Written by John Russel for a school project. He got to dress like a Paleontologist and give a report to his class. (Who said he could grow up?)
