Time of Your Life

There is a song that I just love by Green Day. Many of you have heard it a million times and know exactly which one I'm referring to. You probably will sing along with these lyrics I'm going to share. The name of the song is Good Riddance-The Time of Your Life. It goes like this.

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go
So make the best of this test, and don't ask why
It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.
So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth it was worth all the while
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.
This song has meant so much to me over the years. While I worked with special needs children it reminded me of the parents of these children. What they planned and what they were dealt. While I was going through all the "stuff" with Mae when she was born it made me realize that there would be a silver lining one day. Now that we are far, far away from "home" and family, it makes me realize that this is exactly where we are supposed to be. We have been blessed by so many new things, and most importantly the closeness of our little family. God has a plan for us that only he can see. It's up to us how we deal with it.
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right. We are having the time of our lives!!!!

You are so right!! God does have a plan for each of you and all of us. We need to stop trying to control the plan and enjoy the travel to get there. THAT is much easier said than done, my sister. I am so glad you are enjoying your travel to God's plan for you. So many grunt and complain their way through God's plan, they can't even see the beauty in it. There really can be beauty found in anything IF you look hard enough. I love yall and I love that song too. It's singing in my head right now - THANKS!! Selle

life is unpredictable. How true is that as we all travel the road that the good Lord has given us it seems to have taken us all so far away but i have never felt as close to both you and selle as i have now. I love that song. We miss all of you so much and love yall so much. God is with you where ever you go I know and believe that and he guides us on our way. Its up to us to follow.
